OfferUp’s mobile-based marketplace has filled a major gap in the online buying and selling world. By allowing people to use their smartphones to post, sell and buy items, it offers the convenience that Craigslist and eBay lack. This model has made the company wildly popular – last November, cofounder Nick Huzar said OfferUp was on track for $14 billion in transactions in 2016.

To keep up with its rapid growth, the Seattle-based company is hiring a software development engineer focused on – you guessed it – growth. The job will focus on search engine optimization on the OfferUp’s technology platform, specifically looking at reaching users on Google and Bing.

The ideal candidate would have worked with web application development for at least five years and have concentrated on implementing SEO-friendly structures. They’ll also have experience with generating pages that rank well on search engines and optimizing load times. Learn more about the position and apply on GeekWork.
