Geeks love Catan, so if you have the skills in this awesome strategy game, make sure to join our official Settlers of Catan tournament on March 15 at the GeekWire Bash.

We’ve got some big news for those who like to trade in wheat, sheep, wood, brick and iron ore.

For the first-time ever, we’ll be hosting a Settlers of Catan tournament at this year’s GeekWire Anniversary Bash. The tournament will take place on March 15th at the CenturyLink Field Event Center in Seattle from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., alongside all of the other geeky activities.

Just 16 spots are available for the Catan tournament, and we’re expecting them to fill fast, since our past events where we’ve brought folks together to play the classic board game have been huge hits.

If you want to reserve your spots in the Catan tournament, just visit the registration site for the GeekWire Bash and choose the ticket type “Settlers of Catan tournament.”

Even cooler, the winner of the Catan tournament at the GeekWire Bash will automatically advance to the official Settlers of Catan Regional Qualifying tournament at the Dragonflight Convention this summer.

If you are a more casual game player and don’t want to face the intensity of a 16-person tournament, be sure to join us for other fun activities at this year’s Bash, including ping pong, dodgeball, face painting, geeky tricycle races, video games, and much more. We will also have open tables for more casual Catan play and other favorite tabletop games.

More than 1,500 people attend the GeekWire Bash, and we hope you can make it, too! General admission tickets are on sale here, and just a few tickets remain for our popular dodgeball, foosball and ping pong tournaments.

A big thanks to Games & Gizmos which is helping to organize the Catan tournament, along with the tabletop gaming area.

We hope to see you on March 15th where we’ll crown the absolute geekiest Lord of Catan!
