Ping pong. Foosball. Dodgeball. Virtual reality. Video games! Plus, a few special surprises.
We’re just one week away from the big GeekWire Anniversary Bash, taking place March 15th at the CenturyLink Field Event Center in Seattle’s lovely stadium district. Tickets still remain, so if you have not yet signed up, make sure to get yours here to join this one-of-a-kind geek festival. Group tickets also are available, so bring out your entire company to join the party.
The GeekWire bash is not your ordinary tech event — you’ll see more headbands than pocket protectors. It’s really a chance for the tech community to break away from the daily grind of coding to play some games, have some fun and make great connections. It also marks GeekWire’s sixth anniversary, which you can read more about here.
New additions to this year’s bash include a tabletop gaming zone hosted by Games & Gizmos, where you can challenge other guests to some favorite old-school — and new-school — board games. We’re also setting up a VR Lounge, with two HTC Vive systems, courtesy of new startup EventStarVR. We’ll also have some geeky tricycle races, sponsored by Obliteride, and tons of other fun activities.
Brackets are now filled up for the ping pong, dodgeball and Settlers of Catan tournaments, though a few spots still remain for the intermediate and expert foosball tournaments. Go here to sign up if you are master foos player! (Note: We’ll be releasing full brackets for the various tournaments early next week, and while official tournaments are sold out, we’ve added more tables and courts for open play this year).
Light appetizers and drinks will be provided. More than 1,500 people attend the GeekWire Bash, and we hope you can make it, too!
