Last year, FlyHomes made a splash when the online real estate brokerage announced its radical plan to reward homebuyers with airline miles at closing.

Now the company is offering another perk that’s a little more down-to-earth. FlyHomes just announced a partnership with Lyft, offering credits for rides worth up to 50 percent of the brokerage’s sales commission. For example, a buyer purchasing a $600,000 home could earn up to $9,000 of Lyft credits.

In Seattle, the partnership also includes free Lyft rides up to $10 for house hunters touring properties, according to FlyHomes CEO Stephen Lane.

“We started to pursue a partnership with Lyft after a client of ours was asking us for advice on neighborhoods he could buy in if he didn’t own a car,” said Lane. “As a part of that conversation, we actually were having fun discussing really cool reward options we could offer in the future for clients like him that don’t care about airline miles. The idea was straightforward, what if we could get him an unlimited ride-sharing option so that he could get an awesome reward, buy a house in any neighborhood, and also not have to buy a car?”

FlyHomes has helped more than 50 customers purchase homes in the Seattle area since launch, according to Lane.
