Ellen DeGeneres took Michelle Obama to a CVS Pharmacy to prepare the first lady for life after the White House, and one of the first things the pair did was dump some spare change into a machine from Bellevue, Wash.-based Coinstar.

“Do you have any coins? Because there’s a Coinstar over there,” DeGeneres said in the video, which aired on “The Ellen Show.” “See, this is so good, I’m preparing you.”

As Obama tried to test the kiosk with just a handful of coins, DeGeneres went ahead and dumped an entire baggie full of change into the machine.

“How do you know when it’s done?” the first lady asked as the Coinstar counted her money. As a receipt popped out for $45.17, she said, “This isn’t cash.”

“This is a ripoff,” DeGeneres said.

Coinstar is a division of Outerwall, which also owns the movie-rental kiosks Redbox. The machines charge a 10.9 percent processing fee for handling your change — unless you cash in the coins for an eGift Card, according to the company’s website.

Obama and DeGeneres proceeded to make their way around CVS shopping for everything from headphones to Halloween candy to magazines and boxed wine. Watch the full video:
