Microsoft is doing its best to get Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users to make the free upgrade to Windows 10 — but this takes things to a whole new level. Here’s a video clip — rapidly going viral — of what happened this week during a live weather forecast on KCCI-TV 8 in Des Moines, Iowa.
KCCI meteorologist Metinka Slater handled it especially well, under the circumstances. “Don’t you love when that pops up?” she said, later blaming a problem with her clicker on the popup. “It’s that Windows 10, right? That’s what people are going to say. Don’t do it!”
For the record, she’s not alone: Even with Microsoft reporting 270 million active Windows 10 users, more than half of PC users are still using Windows 7, according to stats from NetMarketShare.
