Unify Square added two new executives to its team; Charlie DiBona was hired as the chief financial officer, while Chris Vaughn joined as the company’s new chief information security officer. The Bellevue-based company provides software, services and support for Skype for Business, and the two new hires will help insure security and stability throughout the company.

“Scale is critical to our global impact,” said Unify Square CEO Sonu Aggarwal in a press release. “Charlie’s 25+ years of IT and finance experience combined with Chris’ expertise in creating and implementing information security programs are terrific additions to our high-powered executive team. I’m looking forward to what we can accomplish together.”

DiBona previously served as a partner at Tresoro Ventures and was the director and portfolio chief financial officer at TresoroLabs. Before that, he worked in Microsoft’s Server and Tools Business division running strategy, as well as managing mergers and acquisitions. He’s also been an equity analyst for the enterprise software sector at Sanford C. Bernstein and was CFO at startup InfoRay.

At Unify Square, DiBona will manage the company’s worldwide financial strategy and guide investment relations and financing activity.

Vaughn comes to Unify Square from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, where he developed and managed its information security program. He also maintained infrastructure security for Nestle. In his new role, he’ll help maintain security for the company’s cloud software and services in use at companies around the world.

TimeXtender hired Steve Sanders as vice president of sales for the Americas. Sanders will oversee sales in the U.S., Canada and South America from the Danish company’s American headquarters in Bellevue, Wash. The data warehouse automation provider has been on a hiring streak lately, with new marketing and partner development vice presidents and a new chief commercial officer all coming to the company this year.

“Steve is a proven sales leader and thinker who intuitively understands our market and its potential,” said TimeXtender commercial chief Romi Mahajan. “His arrival on the scene bodes very well for our growth plan.”

Sanders comes to TimeXtender from Netvibes, where he was vice president of business development. He also worked at Intava as director of sales for five years, developing worldwide sales plans and generating new business.

Oncothyreon appointed Scott Myers as the company’s new chief executive officer. The Seattle-based biopharmaceutical company focuses on patients with cancer, and Myers will bring business and commercial development skills to the team as it brings clinical-stage solutions to market.

“Scott brings a wealth of operational, business development and commercial experience that we believe will be invaluable to Oncothyreon,” said Oncothyreon chairman Christopher S. Henney. “His significant leadership across multiple areas in the biopharmaceutical arena will serve the company well, both in terms of product development and leveraging business development opportunities to strengthen the company.”

Myers previously served as CEO at Aerocrine before it was acquired by U.K.-based immunotherapy company Circassia Pharmaceuticals in July. He was also vice president of European mid-markets at UCB a Belgian biopharmaceutical company. He’s managed business development, strategic marketing and pharmaceutical portfolio management at a of range of companies as well.

SCI Solutions senior vice president of product management and partners Bill Reid has been appointed as interim regent of the American College of Healthcare Executives, representing Washington state members. In his role, Reid will work with higher education institutions and health care providers to connect their products and services with the health care community.

“I have been deeply privileged to serve the ACHE for more than 15 years as we seek to advance the health care industry and improve the delivery of care,” Reid said. “As a founding member of [Washington State Healthcare Executives Forum] it’s an honor to now be in the position to promote and voice the interests of those in my local chapter, at the national level.”

Reid has been a member of ACHE since 1993 and was recently recognized with an ACHE Service Award. At the Kirkland-based SCI Solutions, he manages partnership development and ensures delivery of products. Ried previously served as director of the health solutions group at Microsoft.
