—F5 Networks hired Mike Convertino as its first chief information security officer. In the role, Convertino will oversee both company and customer security, developing Seattle-based F5’s security product roadmap.

What Mike Convertino brings to F5 is both deep experience and strong leadership to help our own operations, our partners, and our customers take the best advantage of our application-level security.”
Convertino has worked in enterprise security for nearly 30 years. Most recently, he served as CISO at CrowdStrike, where he developed the CrowdStrike Security Operations Center. He was also the senior director of network security at Microsoft, leading a team of digital forensic professionals.
The move comes a month after F5’s new CEO left the company, to be replaced by the CEO he had just succeeded.
—Seattle-based startup Stylyze hired Sophie Huang as chief technology officer. The company raised $890,000 last year to offer data driven recommendations for home decor.

Prior to joining Stylyze, Huang was most recently senior vice president of international and enterprise initiatives at MyWebGrocer, heading a 60-person team developing enterprise-grade software. She also served as chief operation officer and chief technical officer of Lorica Solutions.
—TimeXtender named Romi Mahajan as the company’s chief commercial officer. In his new role, Mahajan will head up corporate marketing, sales and partnerships for the Bellevue, Wash.-based data warehouse automation software company.
“I was drawn to TimeXtender for many reasons,” Mahajan said in a release. “The company is headed by an amazing CEO. The market domains that the company is in, data warehouse automation and corporate performance management, are burgeoning fields. And the organization operates with clear ambition, an incredible product set, and a great staff top to bottom.”
Mahajan previously founded the KKM group, which focused on consulting on business strategy, marketing and content guidance to technology and financial companies. Before that, he was the chief marketing officer at both Metavana and Ascentium. He also spent nine years as a worldwide director for Microsoft.
—PushSpring hired Brad Dobbs as director of publisher and platform partnerships. In the newly created position for the Seattle-based mobile app audience tracker, he’ll work with app publishers to better monetize their creations.
“Brad’s experience working with mobile app publishers to drive effective monetization strategies is critical for us as we scale our relationships with leading players in the industry,” said PushSpring chief revenue officer Tyler Davidson. “We believe there’s a tremendous opportunity for app publishers to deliver more relevant content, offers, and advertising to consumers with PushSpring data, and Brad will play a key role in our growth in this area.”
Dobbs comes to PushSpring from Amazon, where he was the manager of mobile games user acquisition and was responsible for launching two new advertising products for developers. He also served as an account executive for Zumobi, a mobile interactive advertising firm.
—Chris Lyons joined Frontier Communications as the company’s vice president and general manager of Washington. He’ll oversee a range of operations in the state on behalf of the Stamford, Conn.-based broadband and cable provider.
“Chris brings a wealth of industry knowledge and operations experience to Frontier’s organization,” said west region area president Melinda White. “He understands the competitive landscape of our business and is focused on keeping Frontier’s commitment to the customer at the forefront.”
Lyons has also served in leadership positions with Nexius, where he was director of sales. At Comcast, Lyons oversaw business services for the Twin Cities region. He’s also held leadership roles at Charter communications.
—Warren Gouk joined Limeade as chief operating officer, the newest executive for the Bellevue, Wash.-based engagement technology company. Prior to joining Limeade, Gouk served as a senior vice president and general manager at Enclarity before it was acquired by LexisNexis in 2013.
Gouk was also part of the founding team for Cascadia Capital, helping to build it into a national investment bank. At Cascadia, he oversaw physical security and digital media teams, and facilitated many merger and acquisition deals.
He has also served with Volpe Brown Whelan & Co. and PricewaterhouseCoopers in healthcare technology and financial auditing roles.
