StubHub today rolled out a new 360-degree seat-mapping feature for CenturyLink Field.

Built for fans interested in buying tickets to the COPA America soccer matches next month, StubHub’s “Virtual View” feature lets users get a feel for the stadium and perspective from any seat.

Users can view their seats in StubHub’s Android and iOS apps, either by using a virtual reality headset like Google Cardboard or just rotating their phone around themselves.

The idea is to go beyond the static pictures traditionally used for seat view previews, and give fans a better glimpse of how they might be watching the game in person.

StubHub originally rolled out the feature last month, offering VR views from NRG Stadium in Houston and AT&T Park in San Francisco. More stadium implementations are on the way.

There are other ticket sellers like Rukkus that are also using 360-degree and VR technology to give sports fans a better preview from seats they may purchase.
