A couple weeks before Christmas, Paul Allen stuffed his stocking with yet another home on Mercer Island. The billionaire Microsoft co-founder paid $5.4 million for a waterfront property on the island near Seattle.

According to real estate records obtained by GeekWire, the home on 77th Avenue Southeast is a one-story bungalow built in 1948. It has four bedrooms and four bathrooms and measures 4,520 square feet in total living space. The condition of the home is “very good” and the view of Lake Washington is rated as “excellent.”

Realtor.com notes that Allen, 62, owns at least 11 properties on Mercer Island, as well as a $25 million home on the beyond exclusive “Billionaire’s Beach” in Malibu, Calif.

When he’s not shacked up in the new bungalow, Allen can relax in the 10,000-square-foot mansion that is part of his premiere Mercer Island compound. Visitors can arrive to that space via floating helipad, Curbed notes.

The Seahawks owner also owns one of the world’s largest superyachts — the 414-foot Octopus, which reportedly cost as much as $200 million to build. If it gets parked in front of the new property, that “excellent” view may be a little compromised.
