Get ready to see a lot of pigtails and short shorts on Halloween. According to Frightgeist, a Google Trends platform, the trendiest costume this season will be Harley Quinn, the comic book villain who most recently showed up in the film “Suicide Squad.”

Frightgeist allows users to see which costumes are trending in cities across the country. Gliding over an interactive map from Seattle to Los Angeles to Houston to Miami, up to New York and over to Chicago, it’s clear that the Quinn getup has struck a nerve.

Here’s what one option for a Quinn costume looks like on Amazon. You get the picture: satin jackets, fishnets and baseball bats. Advice to dudes dressed as Donald Trump: don’t even think about it.

Beyond telling you what everyone else will be wearing, Google’s tool also features a costume wizard, which offers a costume suggestion based on a few inputs such as how spooky you want your look to be, whether you prefer classic or modern, whether it’s a trend nationally or locally, and the uniqueness level.

I tweaked the dials and went with a low spookiness number (25 percent) and high uniqueness (75 percent) and chose a classic look that is a national trend. Frightgeist returned this:

So, if I choose to accept its advice I guess I could spend all night telling people why I’m dressed as a woman who looks like she was caught in a windstorm. That’s probably what a lot of those Harley Quinns will end up looking like anyway.
