Impinj, which went public with a successful IPO this summer, is looking to hire several engineers to develop its RFID technology. RFID, or Radio-Frequency Identification, can be used to track items through small chips, and could be used in futuristic retail settings similar to Amazon Go, the tech giant’s new checker-less convenience store.
One open position at Impinj is the Communications Systems Engineer, who will work with their team to develop new RFID reader chips and reader gateway products. The job involves collaborating with RF hardware, software developers, and test engineers through all phases of product development on various projects.
The engineer will also evolve existing products through feature enhancements and protocol performance improvements. Strong skills in wireless communication system theory and protocols is a must, along with understanding of RF system design.
