startupgrindseattle1Car sharing and ride hailing services are become immensely popular in Seattle, with companies like Car2Go and Uber flourishing in the city. BMW’s new service, ReachNow, is a newcomer to the scene.

But it is making waves on the city streets.

Since the program’s launch in Seattle in April, ReachNow has expanded its fleet and recently added service to Seattle’s SeaTac airport. Next month it will also expand to Portland.

ReachNow CEO Steve Banfield, previously of connected car provider INRIX, will speak at this month’s Startup Grind Seattle about his experience in the industry. Banfield has a long history in the tech field, previously holding executive positions at Microsoft and Sony.GW calendar logo

Startup Grind’s weekly meetings feature talks from tech leaders, and a space for the startup community to build connections. This month’s event takes place Tuesday, August 30, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. More information and registration available here.
