It’s over two weeks away, but already we’re entering crunch time for Halloween. And Zillow is once again letting us know the best places to score some candy.
In a blog post, Zillow released its “Trick or Treat” Index, or a ranking of the 20 best cities for free sugar. This year, the top cities for trick or treating are San Francisco, San Jose and Los Angeles.
Apparently, more tech money doesn’t equate with better odds for candy in our town. Seattle ranked No. 18, falling 10 spots from 2014’s rankings in which we ranked No. 8.
How did Zillow come to these numbers? They considered four variables, including median home value, crime, housing density and the residents’ ages when developing the list of the best trick-or-treating towns.
The following represents the “safest cities to trick or treat,” in 2015, “where trick-or-treaters can get the best candy, in the least amount of time.”
