zillowagentfinderZillow wants to make it easier for home-buyers to find the most effective real estate agent.

Zillow-box-logoThe Seattle company today debuted a new tool called “Agent Finder,” which acts as a realtor search engine. Using filters like neighborhood expertise, price point, past sales, current listings, languages spokes, and more, Zillow now offers a more efficient way to find the right real estate agent.

Previously, Zillow only surfaced agents that had the most reviews — not necessarily the best fit for a given home buyer.

“Being able to evaluate an agent based on his or her local reputation, experience in a given area, as well as individual expertise, is incredibly useful for buyers and sellers,” Amy Bohutinsky, chief marketing officer at Zillow, said in a statement. “Having access to this information will help buyers and sellers find the right person to guide them through what is arguably one of the biggest financial and emotional decisions in their lifetimes.”

“Agent Finder” will be available on Zillow’s mobile and web products. Zillow, which completed its $2.5 billion acquisition of Trulia last month, said it has nearly one million agent reviews on its platform.
