sample tweet vamoIt’s 2015 and you can replace your travel agent with a hashtag. Intelligent travel booking site Vamo will look into hotel and travel options for you when you tweet with #PriceMyTrip.

Just tweet out the hashtag, your starting city and the cities you want to visit and Vamo will respond almost immediately with a price quote for flights and transportation, and a link to fine-tune your trip through site.

Vamo logoJust like the rest of Vamo, it only works for international travel at the moment. Once you get the link, you can fine-tune details like when you want to leave, how long you want to spend in each location and the number of travelers.

Vamo was founded by former Facebook executive Ari Steinberg last year as a way to plan multi-stop international voyages. Steinberg ran the social network’s Seattle operations before taking two years to build the travel site. His team has recieved funding from U2’s Bono, Code.org founder Hadi Partovi, entrepreneur Dave Morin, Zillow CEO Spencer Rascoff and others.

This is the second travel app from Seattle to jump on the so-called “invisible app” bandwagon. Amazing Airfare launched earlier this year to bring bargain hunters deals on airfare. Invisible apps use existing platforms (SMS, Twitter) for interaction, reaching customers through channels they already use.
