JetPack Aviation just completed a stunt in which they flew around the Statue of Liberty.

The feat was done Nov. 3 with one of the company’s entrepreneurs, Aussie David Mayman, completing the flight.

As the company states in the blog, it was the “culmination of a 10-year challenge” to engineer a jetpack lightweight enough to safely allow a person to take flight.

The pack is called the JB-9, and they say it’s powerful enough to go up to 10,000 feet high, reach 100 mph, and stay airborne for 10 minutes.

While the feat is impressive, it’s still not as mind-blowing as these dudes who did that stunt in Dubai, flying beside an Airbus with their jetpacks. But still, personal jetpacks? Still very cool.
