Seattle-area eSports betting platform Unikrn is expanding operations to the U.K. and added Counter Strike: Global Offensive to its roster of eligible games.

The expansion to the U.K. lets fans watch and bet on tournaments and matches taking place anywhere in the world. Betters there will be able to wager on Overall Tournament Winner, a new category for the firm. The U.K. is the fifth-largest video game market in the world by revenue.

Unikrn also announced that fans in legal jurisdictions can now bet on Counter Strike: Global Offensive tournaments held by European eSports leagues like ESL Gaming Network and ESEA. People will also be able to wager on Overall Tournament Winner, a new category for the firm.

Former Microsoft Ventures general manager Rahul Sood debuted Unikrn earlier this year and is partnered with Australia based wagering firm Tapcorp. Unikrn is the exclusive provider of eSports information on Tapcorps Luxbet platform.

In April, Sood told GeekWire why Unikrn was focusing its efforts on eSports betting.

“eSports is one of the largest sports globally, attracting viewer numbers that are on par with traditional sports such as American football and basketball,” he said. “We see this huge opportunity for people who spectate or watch to bet on games.”

Unikrn has raised $3 million from angel investors, and is in the midst of raising another round.
