Apologies if you get nothing else done today. The New York Times Bits “Robotica” series might just suck you in.

The video series, which is five episodes in, focuses on “examining how robots are poised to change the way we do business and conduct our daily lives,” according to the Times site.

Episodes so far include how factories in China are looking to replace workers with robots; Navy engineers trying to develop autonomous tools; the bionic man, testing prosthetics that can be controlled with the mind (we reported on this last December); a robotic teddy bear that is used in therapy to help kids; and, of course, the Real Doll creator’s plans to integrate A.I. and other responsive tech into his sex robots so they talk to their users (this one is NSFW).
