Biohacks —  or ways to monitor, improve or even modify the human body — are incredibly compelling. It’s the stuff of sci-fi dreams.

Two filmmakers from Vancouver, B.C., examine some of the most current biohacks out there in the Pacific Northwest, including wearables, superhuman exoskeletons and implantables in this short online documentary. Working under the film company name Shift, Steve Adams and Sean Horlor found some great biohacks in Vancouver and just outside Seattle that are incredibly compelling and inspiring.

In the video, they interview the thinkers and the makers behind VitalSines’ iHeart monitor (wearables), Prosthesis: The Anti-Robot (robotic exoskeletons) and Dangerous Things (implantables).

A side note: We’ve reported on Dangerous Things and their implantable chips that will make keys a thing of the past before, including having founder Amal Graafstra, a double RFID implantee, on our radio show.

The documentary is about 12 minutes, the perfect length to enjoy over lunch. It’s well-written, beautifully shot and is super-engaging to boot.
