The world of 3D printing continues to become more amazing every single day. Today’s example? A company that plans to 3D print a steel bridge over a canal in Amsterdam.

In the video, Amsterdam-based MX3D outlines its trial and error process to its major goal — printing that bridge. From the initial “little worm-like blobs” and several setbacks, they began to see real progress, “like drawing in mid-air.”

They now say they are ready to 3D print a “large-scale object that is functional and meaningful,” a.k.a. that steel bridge in Amsterdam.

The start date of the project, according to their site, is around September 2015 and the location will be announced soon. Can’t wait to see the final result.
