—Tableau Software revealed in a regulatory filing that Scott Sandell will not stand for re-election to the company’s board of directors. Sandell, a general partner at New Enterprise Associates and the lead independent director on Tableau’s board, will depart in May when his term expires. According to the filing, his departure was the result of other business and board commitments, not the result of any disagreement with the company’s leadership. He has served as a director since August 2004.

It’s not clear yet if Tableau will name a replacement for Sandell in time for the shareholder meeting election. In addition to his roles at Tableau and New Enterprise Associates, Sandell is also currently the chair of the National Venture Capital Association.
