It looks like we’ll be seeing some new Microsoft hardware just in time for the holidays this year, including an updated Surface Pro, Microsoft Band and two new Lumia handsets.

The Verge is reporting that an rumored October launch event will include updates to many of Microsoft’s hardware lines and may even include a new device. While Chinese Windows blog WPDang got a tip that new, slimmer Xbox One is coming, The Verge thinks a Surface Mini may be on its way instead.

However, a new Surface Pro 4 is almost guaranteed, along with an update to the Microsoft Band. The new Surface Pro will likely keep the same form factor to satisfy enterprise users who don’t want to buy new peripherals to replace their Surface Docks or keyboards. However, Microsoft could improve the screen and reduce the size of internal components for longer battery life.

A rumored Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL are also likely coming, with the latter supporting the Surface Pen. An updated Microsoft Band will likely look to compete with the Apple Watch’s fitness tracking capabilities.

Microsoft hasn’t commented on the new rumors, nor has it announced an October event. But The Verge‘s tipster is confident that an event this fall will include many hardware updates. Microsoft is set to talk about Windows 10-related hardware at Berlin’s IFA in September, but would likely introduce any big updates at a standalone event.
