Shutterstock has assembled an impressive infographic of Star Wars‘ extensive influence on movies and TV since the first film came out in 1977.

From The Matrix and Mad Max, to Wall-E and Blade Runner, the Star Wars‘ universe has influenced countless shows, characters and more.

Shutterstock writes on its blog: “As we gear up for the release of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, the first film in the series to be helmed by someone other than George Lucas, we decided to look back at the impact that this franchise has had, not only the science fiction landscape, but on pop culture as a whole.”

Get a closer look at the entire infographic, with illustration help from Pop Chart Lab, over at Shutterstock’s blog. And below, a few parts blown up for closer inspection.
