Life isn’t all gin and juice. Celebs love investing in startups, and on the West Coast these days, there’s probably no hotter investment opportunity than weed.

TechCrunch recently reported that one of cannabis’ liveliest enthusiasts, none other than Snoop Dogg himself, is looking to raise $25 million and turn it around to invest in “tech affiliated with the growing legal cannabis industry,” according to sources close to the tech site.

And while, yes, Snoop Dogg investing in marijuana seemed inevitable, it makes smart business sense for him to take on the tech angle. He’s already invested in Reddit and zero-fee, stock-trading service Robinhood. Even tech titans are taking notice of the burgeoning pot trade. Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund being the first heavy hitter to get into the fray with Seattle’s Privateer Holdings.

Welcome, officially, to the legal pot business, Snoop.
