Seattle ranks in the top three cities when it comes to throwing pool parties.
Huh?
That’s right. At least according to a report by Evite. The online invitation generator found that Seattle ranked in the top three in two pool-lovin’ categories: invitees per capita (No. 2) and number of invitations sent (No. 3).
Maybe it’s because we get really excited for summer? Let alone if we are fortunate enough to have a pool?
Another surprise? Dense urban area Washington, D.C., ranked No. 1 when it came to invitees per capita.
Of course, hot places like Atlanta and Austin, Texas — where more people tend to have pools — ranked as well. Austin was No. 1 for total Evites sent, Atlanta second (see below).
Evite crunched the numbers to help celebrate its 2 billionth invitation. They analyzed the number of guests invited to “BBQ/pool parties” in 39 U.S. metro markets in 2014 to calculate the results.
