They say that word of mouth is still the best advertising, and one Seattle resident took that to heart. Literally. Jake Chapman asked his ex-girlfriends to post reviews of him on Tinder.

Since the reviews have gone live, the 26-year-old’s Tinder account is “blowing up,” according to this article in the Daily Mail.

The reviews, which also give Chapman a rating of up to four stars, included such gems as “We were young and dumb — you were an a**hole. Looks like you’ve changed and like your [sic] doing awesome now” and “Jakes [sic] awesome! He’s got some serious skills in the kitchen. Not really sure why I left yet, he’d be more attractive with an Australian accent though.”

Chapman told the Daily Mail he came up with the idea when he realized he was taking dating too seriously. A web engineer with Christian beliefs, he’s looking for a more long-term girlfriend than a random hook up.

We have to admit, it’s a pretty clever approach. Jake, if you’re out there, let us know how it’s going!
