As it prepares to debut the newest version of its flagship smartphone next month, Samsung has been teasing out possible features that the Galaxy S6 may include.

Last week, it was all about the improved camera that will allow users “to take amazing pictures under any conditions, without having to worry about anything more than just pressing the shutter button.”

Today, Samsung published another blog post — this time, the focus is on wireless charging.

In the post, Samsung engineer Seho Park describes the history of wireless charging and notes how Samsung has had a special team working on the technology for 15 years. He explains how Samsung has reduced the size of wireless charging components over time and doubled charging speed from just three years ago.

Park also writes about the complexity of multiple wireless charging standards, but notes how components that support several standards on a single chip were released last year and “it is expected that several of these products will be available to consumers this year.”

Park ends the post with this:

It is expected that 2015 will be a landmark year for the growth of wireless charging deployment, as wireless charging stations will begin to appear in more and more public places. Samsung will accelerate to democratize this wireless charging technology with compelling smartphones. With our upcoming Galaxy smartphones, users will be able to enter a new wireless world like never before.

Given this post, you can expect the Galaxy S6 to have some sort of wireless charging feature baked right into the device that could potentially support multiple standards. The Note 4 and Galaxy S5 have wireless charging capabilities, but require accessories in order to juice your phone properly. The iPhone 6, meanwhile, also does not have out-of-the-box wireless charging features.

Samsung is expected to unveil the S6 at the Mobile World Congress on March 1.
