forks121Forks is raising cash to help you save some dough.

The Seattle-based startup, which develops a restaurant coupon app for iOS devices, just closed a funding round with Northwest Capital Consulting to help the company acquire more users. The company did not disclose the amount or total funding to date.

Founded in 2010, Forks offers discounts at more than 50,000 local, regional, and national restaurants from all 50 U.S. states through partnerships with Valpak, Groupon, Restaurant.com, and LivingSocial.

Mobile coupons on Forks are valid for 60 minutes at a time and can be redeemed with any point-of-sale system — no printing or paper products necessary. Clients also have access to back-end analytics that track individual offers and campaigns.

The company says that enterprise restaurant chains spend more than $2 billion on paper coupons and that its app helps these restaurants reach more customers, particularly those in the 18-to-35 age range.

Forks, which employs three, hopes to add two million new users by 2016 with the new funding.

“For the last two years, we’ve been changing the way that hungry diners were able to save a few bucks on a meal, while discovering new places to eat along the way,” Forks founder and CEO Cole Van Leuven said in a statement.
