When you’re Paul Allen and you want a custom-designed, Seahawks-themed guitar amp, well, you go have one made.

As spotted by the Seattle Weekly, the Seahawks owner and Microsoft co-founder last week asked Fremont-based Verellen for the custom amp to be built in time for the Feb. 1 Super Bowl, where the Hawks will battle the Patriots and their deflated balls.

The result is pretty badass, with a sweet Seahawks logo and a big ol’ “12,” an ode to Seattle’s 12th Man fan base. From Verellen’s Facebook page:

Paul Allen ordered this custom amp about a week ago, needing it in time for the super bowl. 50 watt super lead with a blackface twin preamp, and footswitchable BEAST MODE overdrive (hawk eye turns red), complete with knobs that go to 12. We’re going to the Super Bowl!!!

After the Seahawks beat Denver in last year’s Super Bowl, Seattle’s players and coaches celebrated at a post-game party that featured a musical performance from Allen and his band, “the Underthinkers.” Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll was impressed, noting that “Paul was hot last night, he was tearing it up — big licks.”

If the Hawks win it all again this year, seems like Allen will be ready to play — this time, in true Seahawks style.
