comcastxfinityToday in awesome: a Philadelphia Daily News columnist called Comcast CEO Brian Roberts’ mother to complain about bad service.

What was the result of ringing the 92-year-old matriarch? Well, Suzanne Roberts knows how to get results. In under a day, Comcast trucks had rolled up to the house of complaint and “the problem was solved.”

Why the fracas? Columnist Ronnie Polaneczky took matters into his own hands, following up on a recent column on a Philadelphia-area couple who were still waiting for Comcast to show up and solve their problem after six weeks of broken appointments.

According to a recent Harris Poll of 100 companies’ reputations among the general public, Comcast is ranked 93, under BP, Walmart and Time Warner. Ouch.

Comcast really is under fire these days for poor customer service. At least this couple didn’t get a nasty name assigned to them.
