It’s open season for most Android tablet users who want to try out Microsoft’s Office for Android beta. Starting today, anyone with an Android tablet running KitKat or Lollipop with an ARM processor and a screen between 7 and 10.1 inches in size can download Word, Excel and PowerPoint from the Google Play Store and give it a whirl.

The apps are still in preview, which means that Microsoft is still actively soliciting feedback from users about what they want to see done differently. It’s also likely that there are still some bugs flying around, so people who are expecting a lower frustration experience may want to wait until the app’s final release.

This is an important step for Microsoft’s Office ambitions. The company released Office for iPad last year to much fanfare, and a release of the productivity software on Android tablets will extend Microsoft’s cross-platform reach even further.
