This week on the GeekWire radio show, we catch up on the latest news about Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu and other video streaming services. Our guest is Rob Toledo, editor of streaming news site Exstreamist.com, who offers his take on the latest original content from these services, and weighs in on which services are worth the monthly subscription.

Amazon won big at the Emmy Awards last month for its hit show Transparent, but Netflix continues to have a broad lineup of original content, as well, from the well-known hits Orange is the New Black and House of Cards to the more recent Narcos. Both services have great kids’ shows, as well, such as Amazon’s Tumble Leaf and Netflix’s Puffin Rock.

But Rob tells us not to count Hulu out in the streaming wars. “If I was to be bullish on any of these services right now, I’ve got to go with Hulu,” he said, citing the service’s connections to big TV networks, and its launch of an ad-free option.

Plus, GeekWire’s James Risley reviews the iPhone 6s, and our App of the Week, News360, shows the potential of the new phone’s marquee feature.
