GeekWire invited dozens of kids and their parents to our offices in Seattle recently for a special video series that premiered at last week’s GeekWire Summit.

Phil Spencer, Head of Xbox, at the GeekWire Summit.

We asked them a bunch of questions about technology and the future, including this one: “What would you say to the guy who runs Xbox?”

Given the popularity of Minecraft, and video games in general, they had lots to say. We played highlights from their comments at the GeekWire Summit to help set the stage for our interview with Phil Spencer, the Head of Xbox.

As you can see in the video below, they had some very specific comments, requests and criticisms.

For another another video, we asked the kids whether they thought robots would ever take over the Earth. (We played this one prior to a session about artificial intelligence and robotics with NYT reporter John Markoff and Microsoft Research exec Peter Lee.) They had plenty to say on this topic, as well.

And finally, we brought six of the kids on stage at the event for a live panel about the future of technology. Yes, it was a huge risk, but it turned out to be a ton of fun. Here’s the full video of the session.

Check out more videos from these great, geeky kids in our previous post. A big thanks from GeekWire to all of the kids and parents who took part!
