luxe543There’s a new way to get you and your car home if you’ve had a bit too much to drink in Seattle.

Luxe, the San Francisco-based on-demand valet startup that raised $20 million in March, today debuted a new program called Drive Home Safe.

Luxe already offers a way for people to hail a valet driver who will pick up your car, park it in a nearby lot, and return it to you at any location within 15 minutes of a request. The company charges $5 per hour, with a maximum of $15 per day, for this offering.

Nluxe32ow, customers have an option to request a ride home from the valet driver at a rate of $25 plus $3 per mile. Once requested, a Luxe driver will ask the user for a destination and pick-up time, meet them at their own vehicle, and then drive together to their destination. The Luxe drivers then return home via public transportation, taxi, or their own method.

The new service is covered by Luxe’s $5 million insurance policy and the company will donate $1 from every Drive Home Safe ride to Mothers Against Drunk Driving. It’s available during Luxe’s operating hours: Monday through Wednesday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Thursday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 12 a.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 12 a.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Other companies offer a similar drive-you-home-in-your-car service, including StearClear, BeMyDD, and SaferRide.

Luxe tested the new program in San Francisco last month, and is now launching the service in Seattle and Chicago. The company raised $20 million in March and is operating in nine markets.

Luxe is similar to Zirx, another on-demand valet startup that launched in Seattle this past September and raised a $30 million round in March.
