The king of late night David Letterman said goodbye in grand style last night — see his last celebrity-studded Top 10 via YouTube above — but L.A.-based YouTube marketing and data company ZEFR has crunched the numbers to see who’s really winning the Late Night Wars online at YouTube.

Jimmy Fallon is tops when it comes to total views on YouTube with 2.31 billion views, with 93 percent of those coming directly through his official channel.

Jimmy Kimmel and Conan come in at Nos. 2 and 3 respectively in both total views and views through their official channels. However, the fans are wild about Letterman. As ZEFR reports, the “Late Show with David Letterman is the only show (with an official channel) where a majority of its views/engagement are coming from non-official/fan videos.”

Letterman’s fans are driving his online traffic, with 65 percent of views, nearly 254 million hits, coming from fan channels.

Thanks, Dave. You will be missed.
