He owns an island, hangs out with rock stars, and now he tops the list of the most-searched stars in IMDb’s history.

Sure, that Oscar still eludes him, but Johnny Depp can claim rights to being No. 1 on IMDb.com’s top 25 stars of all time list. The list was compiled based on the number of page views generated from the site’s approximate 250 million monthly users.

The online database for every- and anything film/TV related, IMDb is turning 25 this fall. And what better way to do that than to figure out who tends to be the most-searched-for online?

They also launched a “Most Popular TV Shows” chart that tracks how well the most popular 100 shows in the world do on a weekly basis.
