In a battle for the ages — not totally unlike a game of Risk — Hulu has emerged triumphant over Netflix and Yahoo for the streaming rights to Seinfeld.

At least that’s what CNN reports from an announcement earlier today at Hulu’s Upfront presentation in New York. Jerry Seinfeld himself appeared for a Q&A, where someone in the audience asked him “what the show would be like today.”

“Annoying,” Seinfeld said, according to CNN. “What reason would Kramer have to come over? He would just text me…there goes the show.”

Variety reports it’s a deal worth “around $875,000 an episode, which translates to a nearly $160 million windfall to be split by distributor Sony TV, Time Warner’s Castle Rock and Seinfeld profit participants, including star/co-creator Jerry Seinfeld and co-creator Larry David.”
