Han Solo really was flying solo on this one.

Avid pilot and the all-around awesome Harrison Ford crashed a vintage World War II-era plane on a solo flight yesterday in Los Angeles. The best part? He crashed it on a golf course.

The plane was a Ryan PT-22 Recruit, which was used to train pilots during the war.

MSN reported that after suffering multiple gashes to his head, he is in “fair to moderate” condition.

His son, Ben, who is a chef by the way, reported via Twitter that Ford was A-Ok, and thanked everyone for the “good vibes”:

Ford — who piloted the Millennium Falcon through enemy fire of countless TIE Fighters — just finished filming Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Here’s hoping he has a speedy recovery.
