GoPro encourages everyone to be a hero, but now users who are adept at taking stellar footage have the opportunity to sell their greatest work on a professional level through GoPro, too.

GoPro has announced a new premium content licensing portal, where users can upload their videos and photos for commercial use.

“The high-end offering is all about inspiring creative professionals to use beautiful imagery, incredible stories, and rich data created by GoPro and GoPro creators,” GoPro wrote in a release. “Above all, it’s yet another way for GoPro to reward its inspirational creator community.”

The company writes that by creating the site they wanted to remove many of the “pain points” that go into licensing creative content, including copyright and distribution issues, and give GoPro users a way to easily sell their content. The commercial targets include global advertising agencies, news, media and entertainment companies.

GoPro told BBC News that videos would start at around $1,000 for six months’ use. GoPro also plans to take a cut of licensing sales, but did not reveal how much yet.

To sign up as a creative, visit the site and register.
