geekwork1Last month, Seattle startup Front Desk announced a $4 million investment, bringing its extended Series A round to more than $11 million.

Front Desk, led by Expedia and T-Mobile vet Jon Zimmerman, is growing fast. More than 1,000 businesses around the world use its business management software. In December Front Desk joined our Seattle 10 class of groundbreaking young startups.

The 2-year old startup, which currently employs 35 in its Capitol Hill office, is using part of the funding to bring on new talent. Front Desk has several job openings, including a Software Engineer position.

The small team needs someone who can work across its entire stack. Front Desk is looking for a motivated engineer who can build new features and is willing to work after normal business hours.

Avalara also scored a big funding round recently. The 10-year old company that helps businesses calculate and comply with taxes, raised $100 million from Warburg Pincus in November. Avalara has nearly 800 employes and plans to use the cash to continue growing.

As part of that growth, the company is adding a new Senior Software Engineer to help build its next generation of tax engine software. The primary focus of the role is designing and building new software. Candidates with a BS in Computer Science or related degree and at least seven years of experience are encouraged to apply.

Shiftboard, a company that provides cloud-based workforce and scheduling tools, is looking for a self-driven manager to join its team. This role involves managing the sales cycle, fielding inbound leads, upselling existing accounts, and working closely with the product management team. The ideal candidate should have at least 18 months of sales experience, excellent communication skills, and a BA/BS degree.

Health technology startup EveryMove is looking for someone to increase engagement, satisfaction, and retention by advocating for the consumer. This product manager will develop strategies and business goals, define product themes, and own the metrics to inform decisions. Xtreme Consulting Group, Principal Level Technical Product Manager/Program ManagerXtreme Consulting Group

This listing is for short-term job seekers. Xtreme Consulting is hiring a 6-month consultant to help with organization and execution of several high-profile initiatives. The product manager will provide mentorship to a team, drive new feature development, and use metrics to inform the team after products have shipped.

At least ten years of overall experience and seven years of program management experience are required. Xtreme Consulting notes that this position has a probability of extension.
