selmaGoogle wants more students to see Selma.

In partnership with DonorsChoose.org, Google is offering to cover the cost of movie tickets and transportation expenses so teachers can show students the Oscar-nominated film that details Martin Luther King Jr.’s civil rights campaign in 1965.

Full-time public school teachers with 6th-to-12th grade classes in Seattle, Kirkland, and six other cities across the country can fill out a form here. The offer is available to teachers in Seattle, Chicago, Boulder, Atlanta, Cambridge, Ill., Lenoir, N.C., Moncks Corner and Goose Creek S.C.

Google’s sponsorship was made via Google.org, the company’s charitable arm. In September, Google and DonorsChoose.org partnered to donate $338,000 for classroom requests from teachers in the Seattle region.
