Today in incredibly stupid and tech-related — a Florida woman live-streamed herself while driving under the influence on Periscope.

As reported by news station WTSP in Tampa Bay/Sarasota, on Saturday, “the Lakeland Police Department received 911 calls about a possible drunk driver using the social media app Periscope to broadcast herself.”

WTSP adds that several people in the area also sent the driver text messages asking her to stop driving.

The driver was 23-year-old Whitney Beall, who, as you’ll see in the video (language NSFW), is slurring her speech and looking more than a little dazed and confused as she continues to drive even after questioning if she has a flat tire (she did). At one point she even says, “Driving drunk is not cool.”

The authorities eventually nabbed Beall and charged her with a DUI.

The Lakeland Police Department posted the debacle to its Facebook account, noting that “the streaming Periscope video highlights the dangers of driving while intoxicated through the eyes of a drunk and irresponsible young adult. The Lakeland Police Department is extremely thankful that this did not result in an accident and no one was injured as a result of her poor decision.”
