Holy Hogwarts, one Etsy shop selling Harry Potter-themed engagement rings, inspired by the Golden Snitch, has had to temporarily shut down due to demand.

According to the New York Daily Newsthe Ontario, Canada-based jewelry maker Miranda Scott shuttered her Etsy shop, Alchemy House, and posted this message:

“Due to the popularity of the Buzzfeed article on my Snitch ring, I have had a huge surge in orders and messages, and I need time to answer all of them. At this point it is looking like the turnover time on the rings will be increased to 4-5 weeks, and I am also not taking rush orders. We will re-open on January 22nd . Thank you for your patience!”

The News reported that the handcrafted ring has topaz stone, can be made in gold or silver, and costs $145. The company’s website says that Scott is known for “her ‘Geeky’ engagement rings, based on iconography from games, books, and other parts of pop culture from her past.” And actually, the stuff on her site is pretty great, sort of Medieval Times meets the Modern Woman. I just don’t know about it as an engagement ring, but that’s something between you and your precious to sort out.

That said, buying someone a Harry Potter engagement ring still isn’t as tacky as this.
