projectPageHero._V347596750_Amazon is doubling down on its stable of original programming for kids. The company has picked up second seasons of four original shows: “Tumble Leaf,” “Creative Galaxy,” “Annedroids” and “Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street.”

Each of those shows, available for streaming on Amazon Prime Instant Video, was greenlit through the company’s pilot process last year as part of a class of shows that also produced “Mozart in the Jungle,” “Bosch” and the Golden Globe-winning dramatic comedy “Transparent.”

“’Tumble Leaf,’ ‘Creative Galaxy,’ ‘Annedroids’ and ‘Gortimer’ have all experienced a tremendous response from our customers and we’re excited to bring them back for another season,” Tara Sorensen, the head of kids programming for Amazon Studios, said in a press release.

It’s a further vote of confidence in the company’s ever-growing suite of original programming. Amazon has been investing in original video content for both kids and adults as a way to entice people to subscribe to Amazon Prime. These shows are a way for the Seattle-based tech giant to differentiate itself from Netflix, which has its own stable of original programming.
