Former Mexico president Vicente Fox paid a visit to Zillow’s offices earlier this week and the first thing he wanted to talk about was … the Seahawks.

Fox, who was invited to the Seattle online real estate company as part of its Zillow Speaker Series, touched on a wide range of topics with employees from migration, prohibition and relations between Mexico and the U.S.

But he started off by using the Super Bowl champions as an analogy for teamwork and success, noting that it isn’t always about big individual stars and how leadership is about “working all together for one purpose.”

Fox, who was Mexico’s president from 2000 to 2006, also shared wisdom with 1,800 Newport High School students. DoubleDown Interactive president Glenn Walcott spent the past two months working with the school’s administration and PTA to organize the town hall Q&A between Fox and the teenagers.

“It was really cool,” Walcott said. “Not often you get to hear a (former) leader of another country speak with his opinions and perspective which are different than those of U.S. leaders, mostly on immigration reform and our federal drug policy.”

Fox’s primary purpose for his Seattle visit was an event with the local Young President’s Organization group, of which both Walcott and Zillow CEO Spencer Rascoff belong to.
