Rover, the Seattle-based startup that connects dog owners with people to care for their pooches, announced today that users in Portland now have access to Rover Premier, a “high-touch” version of the company’s service. People who use Rover Premier will be matched with families who have been vetted by the company and who pledge to provide all-day care for only the dog in question.

Rover Premier hosts have had their houses and backyards inspected, and have been interviewed by an agent to make sure that they’re going to be a good dog-sitter. The service is designed to help out those canines who have special needs, or humans who want to make sure that their pooch gets primo treatment. Portland will be the second city to host the Premier service, after it launched in Denver earlier this year.

The news comes almost a month after Rover unveiled new growth figures, saying that its revenue increased by more than 575 percent year-over-year.
