Puppet Labs, one of Portland’s hottest startups, is moving into new digs later this year.
A testament to the company’s growth, Puppet Labs will be transitioning from its current Pearl District location to Block 300, a nine-story, 360,000 square foot building in Portland’s Skidmore District just west of Waterfront Park.
The startup will occupy 75,000 square feet of space on the fifth and sixth floors with room for 500 employees, the Oregonian notes. There are currently about 260 working at Puppet Labs’ current space, which we checked out in December.
Founded nine years ago in Nashville by CEO Luke Kanies, Puppet Labs helps system administrators efficiently manage data centers and computing networks through automation. The company, which has several big-name clients like Twitter, Zynga, and Disney, has raised $46 million in total funding after a $30 million investment last year from VMware.
