Paul Allen’s acting skills — or lack thereof — were on full display in a “Portlandia” episode earlier this month.

Portland Trail Blazers owner Paul Allen and guard C.J. McCollum make a cameo in “Portlandia.”

During this season’s seventh episode of the IFC satirical comedy show that features Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein, several members of the NBA’s Portland Trail Blazers made cameos — including the team’s owner.

Allen, who bought the Blazers in 1988 and is the richest sports owner in America, appeared during a “2nd Annual ‘Can’t Do it Without Your Help’ Kickstarter Film Awards,” sketch.

Alongside Blazers rookie C.J. McCollum, the Microsoft co-founder speaks briefly about his Kickstarter idea to raise money for new Blazers uniforms.

“I brought this idea to my financial advisors and they said no,” Allen said. “But I’m hoping you say yes.”

Allen didn’t end up winning first place, but he’s certainly the first sports owner to appear on “Portlandia.” Check out Allen’s cameo at the 2:25 mark in the video below, or watch the full episode here:
