Some people really love the sound that an ocean makes. Paul Allen is not one of those people.

The New York Post reports that the Microsoft co-founder just sold his Malibu oceanfront home for $28 million to CBS president Les Moonves after purchasing it in 2010 for $25 million.

Why? Apparently, sounds from the ocean were keeping Allen up at night. He also barely visited the home, which is on a stretch called “Carbon Beach” that includes homeowners like Oracle CEO Larry Ellison and Dreamworks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg.

It’s kind of bizarre that Allen would buy the property given his disdain for ocean noises. Anyways, even though he no longer has the oceanfront crib, it’s certainly not like the billionaire has a lack of places to sleep at night while on vacation.

So, there’s your fun fact for Friday: Paul Allen hates ocean noises.
